In preparing this mix, I worked with two goals in mind. First, it needed to be true to the spirit of the book, and it needed to accurately represent the characters. Secondly, I wanted it to reflect songs that I think Will, will, Jane, and Tiny would actually listen to. I wanted it to come from their world, basically. There’s some oddball punk for Jane, lots of Neutral Milk Hotel for Will, a couple of musical songs for Tiny, and some quieter, moodier pieces for will. Each song was selected very carefully and for a specific reason.
In helping me prepare this mix, I have a few thank yous to give out! First thanks to Claude (www.fateflictonics.tumblr.com) who made our beautiful album art! Next, I’d like to thank awesome nerdfighter Paul for helping me find bands that were actually mentioned in the book and for helping me figure out what to do with David’s will. The Rise Against! track would not have made it on without his help. Big thanks to Lindsey for giving me the Weezer track! You guys are awesome. :)

It full fits onto one CD as is, so if you want to burn it to a disc it’s ready. :) I kind of view the mix stopping at the James Murphy song, with last two tracks being goofy b-sides. :P

Is it just me, or does Tom Rosenthal kind of look like Daniel Howell? I don’t know, I was watching Plebs and looking at his character and hearing him speak, Dan was all I could think about.
Literally all I can think of as I’m watching the show rn. He’s got Dan’s annoyed face and everything.
